Position Summary (This position will consist of 36 hours per week.
)The OR Clinical Care Coordinator is a member of a multidisciplinary Leadership team.
This position works collaboratively with the Department Manager to provide oversight and direction for patient flow and nursing care management and has responsibility for effectively facilitating the daily operations of the assigned department including staffing and scheduling.
The OR Clinical Care Coordinator collaborates with department staff to optimize resources and deliver care utilizing a patient family-centered model.

The Clinical Care Coordinator has responsibility for effectively facilitating the daily operations of surgical care, including staffing and scheduling.
The Clinical Care Coordinator collaborates with surgeons and anesthesia providers to optimize resources and deliver care utilizing a patient family centered model.
Responsible for coordinating new staff orientation as well as ensuring annual competency requirements are met.
Competently provides direct patient care when needed.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education :
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
BSN preferred (or in process).
License/Certifications :
Current, valid License in the state of Maine as a Registered Nurse.
BLS and CPI.
Experience :
1-3 years of Charge/Supervisory experience.
Minimum of two years' experience within department discipline preferred.
Articulates elements of professional practice and demonstrates:
Knowledge of Evidence Based Practice and Patient and Family Centered CareUnderstanding of teamwork and collaborationEffective verbal/written communication skillsKnowledge of process improvement and sound safety strategiesCompetence with computer applications Recommended Skills Basic Life Support Business Process Improvement Certified Nurse Practitioner Clinical Works Communication Health Care Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
