Summary For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants:
0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) 1
years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.

Your Role:
Functions as a member of the clinical team performing a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Education:

License/Certifications:
National Healthcare Association (NHA) Clinical Medical Assistant Certification, American Medical Technologist (AMT) Medical Assistant certification, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT) certification or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certification is required.
3.
Experience:
Minimum of one year's experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory/outpatient setting or an Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting is required.
4.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical office procedures.
5.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
7.
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, decision making and problem solving expertise.
8.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems and applications with necessary typing skills.
9.
Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, public and external agencies 10.
Ability to prioritize and organize Recommended Skills Certified Medical Assistant Clinical Works Communication Decision Making Hardworking And Dedicated Information Technology Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
