Summary For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Position Summary (This position will consist of 40 hours per week.
) This position will cover Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport and Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast.
Under the oversight and direction of the Coastal Healthcare Alliance (CHA) Oncology management team, the Clinical Nurse Educator contributes to the overall strategic plan for nursing focusing on both clinical practice and professional education and development.
Responsible for directing the onboarding of new RNs and to maintain ongoing education within the program, ensuring a robust education for clinical staff which meets and/or exceeds industry standards for specialty RNs.
This position shall maintain responsibility for all mandatory education, consistent with established best practices, promotion of clinical staff understanding of the oncology specialty, serve to encourage clinical staff to achieve professional certification in oncology (OCN), and support staff in the pursuit of advancement on the clinical ladder.
Through the interwoven practice elements of leader, educator, facilitator, change agent and clinical expert, the Clinical Nurse Educator will promote the provision of quality care, patient safety, evidence based practice, and professional progression in nursing.
The Clinical Nurse educator is responsible for educational demands and services associated with Oncology clinical staff needs, and will routinely provide direct patient care to maintain clinical expertise.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Master's degree preferred.
License/Certifications:
Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing.
Professional certification in practice specialty preferred.
Current BLS, ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy certificate required and ONS/ONCC professional certification required.
Experience:
Demonstrated clinical expertise in direct patient care as normally acquired through a minimum of 2-3 years clinical experience and meets all the care delivery expectations of the expert clinical nurse within their clinical setting.
Experience in classroom instruction and/or clinical teaching associated with specialty specific settings is preferred.
High level of interpersonal and leadership skills required Knowledge of educational development and design preferred, in order to assist with the planning, development, and implementation of educational offerings for nurses.
