The Talent Acquisition Specialistwill be responsible for full life cycle recruiting including sourcing, networking,interviewing, hiring and onboarding top talent. This is a unique opportunity tolearn the banking industry from the inside. This position will become a talentexpert for all business lines including: retail, operations, commercial, wealthmanagement, financial consultants, and mortgage across 60+ locations. Thisposition partners with the Vice President of Talent Acquisition to fulfillpositions from senior leadership to entry level with a focus in Maine, extendinginto New Hampshire and Massachusetts. This person must be comfortable managing20+ positions in different stages of the recruiting life cycle from requisitionto onboarding. The position requires a person who is high-energy,self-motivated and driven with a service mentality, as well as, someone who canchange direction quickly while handling multiple inquiries from differentmanagers simultaneously. We are looking for an experienced recruiter who ispassionate about finding top talent and has the ability to overcome talentmarket restraints, while executing a positive can-do approach. An investigativeand inquisitive mindset combined with creative thinking is an absolute must tobe successful in this role.
The essential functions are notedbelow; however, not every duty assigned is listed and this position may evolveovertime requiring additional responsibility related to HR and TalentAcquisition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In partnership with the VP of TalentAcquisition this position manages- intake meetings with hiringmanagers; design and placement of internal and external advertisements; sourcingand networking with candidates; interviewing (by phone and in person); pre-employmentverifications; recommendations for hire; creating and delivering offers;negotiating rates; and on boarding new hires.
Partners with VP of Talent Acquisition on a daily basis to set priorities and to create daily recruitingstrategies.
Utilizes social media and jobboards, along with other various recruitment methods, to drive candidateinterest and establish pipelines for current and future opportunities.
Nurtures relationships withprospective candidates and manages on-going relationships with hiring managersacross the organization.
Assists managers in developingacclimation schedules and supports onboarding to ensure a top-notch new hireexperience.
Maintains and promotes employeereferral program to drive candidate referrals.
Partners with external staffingagencies to identify and recruit candidates, often for temporary staffingneeds.
Maintains applicant tracking systemand provides reporting metrics.
Education and/or Experience
5+ years of previous experience with full-life cyclerecruiting in a corporate environment. Thorough knowledge of recruitment andinterviewing techniques, including federal and state laws regarding employmentpractices required.
Strong business acumen and resourcefulness to identify passivetalent and leverage internal/external resources. Experience working in a fast paced corporaterecruiting environment where talent acquisition is the support area focused onlocating, recruiting and hiring candidates into the same organization.
Language Skills
Ability to interact professionallyand appropriately with external candidates, vendors, and all levels of internalStakeholders, up to and including senior management. Top-notchcommunication skills, both written and verbal required. Strong senseof customer service with a positive can-do attitude is required.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, anindividual will need to have advanced knowledge of Human Resource systems,Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Telephone, Internet or any other widely usedsoftware as obtained by the Company. Expertise in these applications mustbe present at hire or quickly and easily developed after hire. Experiencewith ADP Workforce Now is a plus. HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems, as wellas top-notch social media recruiting skills (Linked-in, JobsinME, Indeed, etc) required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
